Philadelphia Helps Ex-Offenders RISE to the Occasion

Philadelphia RISE provides a hand up through text messaging

Each year, more than 30,000 citizens return to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from federal, state and county prisons. The Philadelphia Mayor’s Office of Reintegration Services (RISE) was created to serve ex-offenders and help them get back on their feet.

RISE case workers use the GovDelivery Communications Cloud to build relationships and improve efficiency when communicating with ex-offenders. RISE also utilizes Interactive Text Messaging to reach ex-offenders who are highly transient and often without home internet access.

Download this success story for details of RISE’s Interactive Text Messaging Program and its results.
