Granicus Annual Summit Highlights Government Resilience and Innovation
October 6, 2020Cities, agencies and Granicus executives discuss the key challenges and opportunities of 2020
Denver, CO.–October 6, 2020–Today, Granicus, the leading provider of cloud-based citizen engagement technologies and services, is hosting the Granicus Annual Summit 2020. The virtual event convenes government officials, Granicus executives, and experts from organizations including the Environmental Protection Agency and the Minnesota Census to exchange insights on how governments have overcome tremendous challenges in 2020 to pave a new, better path forward.
To meet a heightened demand for information and services this year, governments were forced to rethink how they engage with constituents. The Summit will highlight the cities and organizations that successfully adapted to changing needs and conditions by accelerating their digitization efforts. Further, it will explore how agencies can build upon these learnings and advancements to create more effective, responsive government organizations.
“2020 has delivered unprecedented challenges to government officials, but has also provided tremendous opportunity for government innovators to break old technology models to rapidly address urgent social issues,” says Mark Hynes, CEO of Granicus. “And now that agencies have seen what’s possible with more modern, cloud-based technology solutions, there’s no going back. At this year’s Summit, we’ll hear from resilient public sector organizations that have risen to the occasion and discuss how they’ve leveraged the urgency of today’s environment to rethink how a modern government should operate.”
The event includes four main tracks: Communications Spotlight, Compliance Spotlight, Meeting Spotlight and Digital Government Spotlight. The twelve sessions will explore everything from moving interactive city council meetings online, to driving revenue through short-term rental compliance.
