GXI Foundations collects insights to help governments understand community sentiment and improve digital services. The data focuses on two main areas:

Community sentiment feedback — Measures public perception on key community themes, including:

  • Utilities
  • And other local government services

Digital experience data – Tracks resident interactions with government services, such as:

  • Making payments
  • Applying for permits
  • Requesting information
  • Reporting incidents
  • And other digital government processes

We contracted with a third-party agency that specializes in local government community research to ensure the question set was unbiased.

We are using the 5-point Likert scale (strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree, strongly agree) to ensure valid responses and scoring/trending.

Yes, you will be able to add your own custom questions, as well as hide default questions and themes that may not be relevant or important to you. We will be launching this ability in early 2026.

GXI Foundations displays questions using a sticky footer, with two placement options:

  1. Default placement

    • The sticky footer appears at the bottom left of the page by default.
    • If another widget occupies that position, Granicus can move the footer to any of the four corners to avoid interference with page content.
  2. Custom placement

    • Agencies can specify an exact position using pixel values for top/bottom and left/right.
    • For example, if a translation widget is at the bottom left, the sticky footer can be positioned a few pixels above it.
    • This ensures optimal placement without disrupting other website elements.
