Frequently Asked Questions

The awards are open to all Granicus customers in the UK and Europe. This includes local government, central government, housing, NHS, emergency services, education, transport, and other public sector organisations. Submissions should focus on innovation in digital government through the use of Granicus solutions.

Organisations must nominate themselves (or their teams/projects/individuals) to ensure the submission is accurate.

Great government work deserves a bigger audience.

Every year, government teams deliver meaningful results for their communities. Too often, those successes aren’t seen beyond the people closest to the work.

The Granicus Digital Government Awards help bring those stories to a broader audience. Award winners receive more than accolades; they gain a platform to showcase their accomplishments through customer stories, articles, videos, social promotion, speaking opportunities, and other forms of professional recognition.

Whether you’re demonstrating the impact of an important initiative, highlighting your team’s work, supporting grant reporting efforts, or sharing results with leadership, these awards help you tell your story more effectively.

The strongest nominations tell the story of the people, communities, and outcomes that made the project successful.

The best submissions help judges understand:

  • The challenge you were trying to solve.
  • Why it mattered to your organisation or community.
  • What actions you took and what digital tools you leveraged.
  • The measurable results you achieved.
  • The impact on residents, constituents, students, businesses, visitors, or staff, with hard proof metrics and real-world stories.
  • Lessons others can learn from your experience.

Numbers are great. Stories are powerful.

The strongest entries include both.

Great nominations answer questions like:

  • How did this work support your agency’s strategic priorities?
  • What changed for residents, customers, or staff?
  • What metrics demonstrate success?
  • What unexpected benefits emerged?
  • Do you have a resident, stakeholder, employee, or elected official quote?
  • Is there a real-world story that illustrates the impact?

You don’t need a perfect spreadsheet full of metrics, but your entry should show measurable success.

There is no specific timeframe requirement for nominations. However, recent work (past 1-2 years) is preferred.

There is no fee to enter the Granicus Digital Government Awards.

Nominations close on 30 October 2026.

Nominations are reviewed by a judging panel and evaluated based on the category’s criteria.

Winners will be announced in early 2027.

The Granicus Digital Government Awards are open to Granicus customers across the globe. However, judging is conducted separately, with unique winners in each region.

Please ensure you enter the appropriate region’s awards:
