Delivering exceptional services

As part of a larger modernisation effort, officers from the Civic Member Services and Digital Transformation teams with the Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council created a digital casework solution fit for purpose to get the best outcomes they can for their residents.

The project that ensued culminated in the development and deployment of the MyCouncillor Portal, an online digital system built on Granicus’ govService Councillor Portal product. The portal is now used to manage all constituent casework in a secure environment with easy access to a range of useful council and partner information.

Since launch, more than 80 councillors have used the portal to process more than 12,000 cases, while reducing the average response time from 13 days to eight days.
