Granicus announces seven UK Digital Government Award winners delivering measurable impact for citizens across the UK

This year’s honourees are delivering tangible results, cutting case processing times from weeks to days, expanding resident participation from hundreds to thousands, and saving hundreds of staff weeks through smarter digital services. It is proof that practical, measurable digital transformation is happening at every level of government across the UK. Now in its sixteenth year, the programme draws from thousands of public sector organisations that work with Granicus to deliver better outcomes for citizens and communities.

Changemaker
Winner: Transport, Climate and Place, Enfield Council
Increased inclusive participation in transport and placemaking projects, with over 115,000 platform visits and demonstrable growth in engagement from young and disabled residents.
Community Engagement
Winner: North Tyneside Council, Engagement Team
Expanded resident representation from 153 to 2,506 participants across all 20 wards through a single, accessible consultation platform.
Operational Excellence
Winner: Cafcass
Raised internal newsletter open rates from 15% to over 60%, directly supporting recruitment visibility and organisational performance.
Winner: Wrexham County Borough Council, Customer Services
Cut Blue Badge application processing times from 18 working days to just seven by automating end‑to‑end workflows.
Service Delivery
Winner: London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Digital Team
Digitised a paper‑based parking permits service, processing 9,200 applications, generating £460,000 in online payments and saving an estimated 110 staff weeks.
Total Government Experience
Winner: Wealden District Council, Digital Services
Reduced contact centre demand by consolidating key services into a single, WCAG‑compliant self‑service resident portal.
Trust and Transparency
Winner: Rhondda Cynon Taf Council (RCTCBC) Health Determinants Research Collaboration
Embedded lived experience into policy decisions by enabling residents to co‑design initiatives and act as voting members on recruitment panels.
