Here are some best practices for using the tech\u00a0internally:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Make a special footer without an unsubscribe option<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This is an easy solution to prevent unsubscribing from internal newsletters and alerts. This special footer for employee bulletins is sometimes overlooked since footer creation can only be done by the account administrator. If you don\u2019t think you have a specific footer for staff bulletins, ask an account administrator to copy the main social media footer and remove the unsubscribe option.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Add a subscriber restriction for email domains<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This is also under the Account Settings field, so you\u2019ll need the help of an account administrator. Click on \u201cSubscriber Restrictions\u201d and you\u2019ll see the choice to add in a restriction. This can be done by adding in @yourdomain.gov.uk and allowing only people with that domain to sign up for a topic and also reminds employees to register for new staff-related comms using their work emails. Remember, you don&#8217;t need to worry about members of the public subscribing to staff updates since your public topic subscription options are set to &#8220;public&#8221; (for example, they appear on a &#8220;pick-list&#8221; as someone is subscribing from your web pages \/ other sign-up places) and you can make all staff or other stakeholder closed-group topic options &#8220;private&#8221; in your account.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19716 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/granicus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image\/jpeg\/Blog-Image-1.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 616px) 100vw, 616px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/granicus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image\/jpeg\/Blog-Image-1.jpg 616w, https:\/\/granicus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image\/jpeg\/Blog-Image-1-600x281.jpg 600w, https:\/\/granicus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image\/jpeg\/Blog-Image-1-300x141.jpg 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"616\" height=\"289\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Restrictions are available with text messaging as well. This little string of characters [<i>^[0-9]+$<\/i>] will allow only text message numbers to enroll. Before you add it to a topic, just be sure that you have one email address already registered.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19717 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/granicus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image\/jpeg\/Blog-Image-2.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 629px) 100vw, 629px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/granicus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image\/jpeg\/Blog-Image-2.jpg 629w, https:\/\/granicus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image\/jpeg\/Blog-Image-2-600x240.jpg 600w, https:\/\/granicus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image\/jpeg\/Blog-Image-2-300x120.jpg 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"629\" height=\"252\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Turn on \u201cSubscription Restore\u201d to re-add employees who leave by accident<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t been adding a footer without the unsubscribe option, it\u2019s possible to re-add any employees who have unsubscribed. This can also be done in account settings. An account administrator will need to call the Support team to turn it on, just in case it isn\u2019t on already. There\u2019s no fee for this service, and once turned on at the account level, you can go to a topic and turn on the subscriber setting for \u201cSubscriber Management\u201d. This will allow you to simply click a button to restore a subscriber who has unsubscribed from the topic.
