Sr. Systems & Network Administrator

Your duties shall include
- Backup, Redundancy, Management, and Support of 24x7 Highly Available Data Center Hosted Applications and Network Systems
- Management of 500TB of streaming media and other data
- SAN Server Virtualization
- Management of a “Hot Failover” Data Center in geographically separate location
- Ensuring production system uptime through monitoring
- Performance tuning, optimization of servers
- Licensing and Inventory Management
- Creation of Operating System and Security policies and implementation thereof.
- Maintenance of Network topology diagrams
- VOIP Systems Management
· Management of Data Center Security and Standards documentation and program.
- Mentor to other systems administrators
- Serve as primary communications conduit to Granicus management for data center events
- Documentation of configurations of networking equipment, server hardware and other associated data center devices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum Education: 4 year degree or equivalent education or experience
Required Experience: 5+ years
Required Expertise: Data Center Management, Windows Server 2003, Hosted Web Applications, On-Call Support and Monitoring, Technical Team Leader, Network Administration (Load Balancing, Switching, Routers, Firewalls)
- Microsoft Systems Certification
- Windows Server 2003 and 2008
- Experience Highly Available Multi-location data centers
- Experience working with Content Delivery Network partners
- Microsoft IIS
- Windows Media Services
- Server Load Balancing
- VPN Management
- Network Protocols, Router and Switch Management
- Networking: OSI model, layer 4-7 Switching, layer 3 routing, functionality of layer 2 switches, VLANs and VLAN tagged frames, etc
- SSL, Secured Communications between applications
- Overseeing Managed IP Phone System
- Project Management Skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
Other details: On-call availability required, one weekend of every quarter required;
Physical Demands: Vision requirements (close, distance, color, depth perception, ability to adjust focus); Ability to reach and use hands required; Ability to lift 10 - 25 lbs on occasion.
